The role
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative Secondary Biology Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, nurture and inspire students, and maintain a positive learning environment while working alongside an energetic and welcoming group of colleagues.
Key responsibilities
- Support, observe and record the progress of students.
- Plan lessons in line with school and curriculum objectives to ensure a healthy culture of learning.
- Develop curricula that cover a broad range of subjects offered by the school.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and understanding in accordance with curriculum requirements.
- Enthuse and motivate students to strive for success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related subject.
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience or teaching practice in the subject, following the UK National Curriculum.
- UK Teaching Qualification (PGCE or QTS).
- Knowledge of data disaggregation, analysis and differentiation for students.
- Recent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
- Proven track record of successful teaching and securing outstanding results through high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ability to use data effectively to monitor and enhance student progress.
