Metropolitan International School has served the international community in Viernheim for over 17 years. The role

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable teacher to join the Humanities department. The successful candidate will be dynamic, with a strong commitment to developing engaging curriculum and instructional methods suited to the needs of international students.

The role is 50% Business Management teaching in Grades 11 and 12. Additional hours may be available teaching History and/or Geography in IGCSE and lower secondary classes. The position may also involve homeroom responsibilities for one secondary class, including one annual stay-away trip.

The role starts in March 2025 and remains open until the successful candidate is appointed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Business Management lessons to IB Diploma students in Grades 11 and 12.
• Develop engaging curriculum and instructional methods for international learners.
• Act as homeroom teacher for one secondary class, including pastoral duties and one annual stay-away trip.
• Contribute to the Humanities department within a collaborative international team.

Requirements

• Significant experience teaching Business Management in English.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme teaching experience.
• Relevant teaching qualification such as B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to developing engaging curriculum suited to international students.
