The role

Sharjah American International School seeks a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join the secondary school faculty at its Sharjah campus in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the American Curriculum and inspire students to explore science through hands-on laboratory experiments and technology-integrated learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for Middle and High School students.
• Utilize modern laboratory facilities to conduct safe and educational science experiments.
• Integrate technology, such as interactive whiteboards and digital platforms, into daily learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
• Collaborate with the science department to develop innovative STEAM initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid teaching license or professional education qualification.
• Valid English language certificate such as IELTS or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching the American curriculum with a strong understanding of NGSS.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural faculty.
• Commitment to professional development and a proactive approach to student engagement.
