The role

Repton Dubai seeks to appoint an outstanding Design Technology and Computer Science Teacher for an August 2026 start. The successful candidate will be a versatile teacher with dual subject expertise, delivering practical design projects alongside digital and computational thinking across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role offers the opportunity to integrate design and technology with coding, digital fabrication and systems thinking, creating innovative cross-curricular learning experiences.

The department is proud of its outstanding IGCSE and IB results in recent years. The successful candidate will join a hard-working, driven and experienced team of dedicated teachers who collaborate to make the subject highly engaging and to develop young people into experts in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the IB Design and Technology course to the highest standards
• Teach Design and Technology across KS3-5, including IB and A Level pathways
• Utilise state-of-the-art facilities, including laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers
• Deliver engaging Design and Technology Extra-Curricular Activities to further enhance the subject profile and inspire students
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the department and wider school community
• Contribute proactively to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Maintain high expectations and drive excellent student outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design and Technology or a directly related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE
• Minimum of two years post-qualification teaching experience
• Proven experience teaching Design and Technology
• Proficiency in CAD software and ability to integrate digital design tools into teaching
• Experience teaching across KS3-5, including A Level
• Hard-working with a strong commitment to excellence
• Approachable and supportive when working with students and colleagues
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in teaching practices
• Passionate about delivering Design and Technology ECAs and enrichment opportunities
