About the school
Repton School was founded in 1557 on the site of a 7th century Anglo-Saxon Benedictine abbey. The School has over one thousand pupils across the Prep and Senior School. Repton and Repton Prep operate as a through-school. Each pupil at Repton Senior is a member of a House. Academic standards are high and creative activities, including music, art, drama and design, flourish. The School has a national profile in sport, particularly football, hockey, cricket and swimming.
Repton was one of the first British schools to establish overseas schools, beginning with Repton School Dubai in 2007. Repton currently operates schools in Dubai (2), Abu Dhabi (2), China and Egypt, with plans to open four more in the coming years. The UK family comprises five schools: Repton, Repton Prep, St Wystanβs, Vinehall and Marlborough House.
The role
Repton School seeks an Executive Assistant to the COO and MD of the Repton Family of Schools. The post is permanent and full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, with some flexibility required. The role is based at Repton School with occasional travel to other sites within the Repton Family of Schools.
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to the Repton Group COO and the MD of the Repton Family of Schools, ensuring the efficient and professional operation of both offices. The postholder will manage administrative, organisational and communication activities with exceptional attention to detail, anticipation of needs and absolute discretion.
Key responsibilities
Office and Executive Support
- Ensure the efficient and professional running of the COO and MD offices by proactively anticipating needs and managing complex diaries.
- Organise and coordinate regular and ad hoc meetings, including internal and external engagements.
Correspondence and Communication
- Manage correspondence, including reviewing, researching, prioritising and routing communications.
- Handle phone and virtual communications with sound judgement and discretion.
Meeting Coordination and Follow-Up
- Schedule meetings across the UK and multiple international time zones.
- Prepare agendas, briefing papers and supporting documentation.
International Travel and Itineraries
- Book and manage all aspects of domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation, visas and ground transport.
- Prepare itineraries and briefing packs for international travel, school visits, conferences and events.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Build effective working relationships across the organisation and with international partners, representing the organisation with professionalism and diplomacy.
Confidentiality and Professional Standards
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion and integrity.
- Handle sensitive information in line with organisational policies and GDPR requirements.
Administrative Excellence
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving and time management.
- Work alongside the Group Secretary to ensure timely collation of board papers.
