The role

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Teacher to join our dynamic primary team. The successful candidate will be passionate about accelerating student progress, maximising learning time and delivering consistently high-quality teaching that enables every child to thrive.

Phase: Primary School
Curriculum: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), with English National Curriculum objectives embedded throughout the school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver play-based, child-led learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a nurturing, inspiring and purposeful environment that encourages exploration, independence and a love for learning.
• Use assessment effectively to drive progress and raise attainment in core subjects.
• Support students’ academic, social and emotional development in line with IB PYP principles.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents through effective communication on children’s progress, achievements and next steps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years Education or a relevant subject.
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience at the elementary or primary level.
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student wellbeing.
• Proven ability to accelerate student progress.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Experience of the IB Primary Years Programme and the English National Curriculum is desirable.
• Commitment to student-centred learning, high standards and maximising learning opportunities.
• Enthusiasm for professional growth and continuous improvement.
• Respect for cultural diversity and inclusion, with a collaborative, positive and reflective approach to teaching.
