About the school

Oeiras International School is a highly prestigious private, inclusive, co-educational international day school for students from Year 2 to Year 13. It is situated in a beautiful 17th-century Portuguese palace within a peaceful and attractive Quinta in the surroundings of Oeiras, close to Lisbon. The school holds NEASC accreditation and is a CIS member school.

OIS offers the International Baccalaureate Continuum, beginning with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Year 2, through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and culminating in the Diploma Programme (DP) in Year 13. The school has a predominantly international student population representing over 40 nationalities, with 453 students currently on roll.

The role

We seek a versatile, capable and enthusiastic teacher to teach English Language and Literature in the MYP and DP. This is a maternity leave cover position commencing on 20 August 2026. Candidates with previous experience in an international school setting and IB experience will have a distinct advantage. The salary is calculated using the OIS pay scale to ensure fair pay.
