The role
Al Salam Community School seeks an outstanding Secondary English Teacher to deliver GCSE and A Level courses from August 2026. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking British curriculum school that offers a truly international environment with a distinctly British character.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or major in English Literature or Language
- PGCE in Secondary English
- Experience teaching in a British or British-curriculum school
- Experience teaching AQA, Edexcel or equivalent British examination boards
- Evidence of outstanding teaching practice, or clear potential to achieve this standard
- Ability to plan engaging, student-led lessons
- Expert subject knowledge and the passion to inspire a love of learning
- Confidence using classroom technology to enrich learning
- Strong team player willing to contribute to departmental development
- Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school
