About the school
Park School is an independent specialist day school in Chipping Norton for boys and girls aged 7 to 18 with a wide range of social, emotional and mental health needs. The role
Park School seeks a passionate and creative English Teacher to join its team from September 2026. This permanent, term-time-only position offers a salary of up to £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The role involves delivering engaging English lessons that inspire curiosity and unlock potential, while contributing to the development of the English curriculum and raising standards across the school. Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. UK applicants only; sponsorship is not available.

- Provide leadership and direction within the English subject area to support its ongoing growth.
- Motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
- Share best practice and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
- Monitor and support students’ academic progress and personal development.
- Play an active role in the curriculum team, promoting collaboration, innovation and high standards.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
- The ability to inspire, engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
- A commitment to raising achievement and creating meaningful learning experiences.
- Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development is desirable but not essential.
