The role

King’s InterHigh is seeking a talented and ambitious Geography Teacher to join the school on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will teach up to Year 13 and will be based in the United Kingdom, working remotely from home with the option of a hybrid model when required. The post-holder will teach students largely from the Middle East, as well as Southeast Asia and the UK, as part of the Universal Timetable. Live teaching will generally start at 5am UK time and finish at approximately 1.30pm UK time, with some variation in start and finish times on certain days.

Location: Remote, United Kingdom. Candidates must reside in the UK and hold the full right to work in the UK.

Start date: 1 September 2026

Role type: Part-time (0.5 FTE), Monday to Friday

Contract: 2-year fixed-term contract

Key responsibilities

  • Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students.
  • Place quality-first teaching at the centre of all tasks.
  • Support the self-evaluation of the school’s effectiveness and the development of priorities for improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile, acting as a role model through professional conduct.
  • Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students.
  • Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and wellbeing matters.
  • Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to students in a timely manner.
  • Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
  • Communicate with parents and other stakeholders to ensure students feel supported and receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Undertake any other work as specified by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of correct safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments.
  • Experience of working in the primary, secondary or college sector.
  • Experience of working in the state or independent school sector.
  • Experience of creating resources and the ability to review and enhance current course delivery.

Benefits & package

  • Salary of £36,000–£42,500, pro-rated to reflect 0.5 FTE, plus a 10% antisocial hours allowance.
  • Two-year fixed-term contract.
