The role

Garden City British School seeks a Head of Department for EYFS (FS1 to FS2) to join the team from 24 August 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring and stimulating child-centred learning environment and will be a highly motivated exemplary practitioner with a deep understanding of personalised learning.

Requirements

• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Education specialising in Early Childhood or Primary Education, or
• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in an English National Curriculum subject together with an internationally recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Early Childhood or Primary Education, or
• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in an aspect of Early Childhood or Primary Education with QTS
• Joint honours degrees that include theology, criminology or religious education are not accepted by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge
• Two supporting references and a police clearance certificate or DBS no more than three months old must be provided
