The role

Garden City British School seeks a Head of Department (Female Only) – Primary (Year 1 – Year 5) to join the team from 30 September 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring, child-centred learning environment and will act as an exemplary practitioner with a deep understanding of personalised learning.

Requirements

• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Education specialising in Primary Education, or
• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in an ENC subject together with a PGCE or PGDE in Primary Education, or
• An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in an aspect of Primary Education with QTS

Joint honours degrees that include theology, criminology or religious education are not accepted. No post-qualification teaching experience is required. Two supporting references and a police clearance certificate or DBS issued no more than three months prior to appointment must be provided.
