The role

Dubai English Speaking School - College is seeking a Head of Psychology for a January 2027 start.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology or a closely related discipline.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of three years' successful teaching experience in Psychology, preferably at Key Stage 5.
• Experience of teaching, or a willingness and ability to lead the introduction of A Level Sociology.
• Demonstrable track record of securing excellent outcomes at GCSE and/or A Level.
• Experience of curriculum development and improvement within a secondary or post-16 setting.
• Evidence of successful leadership experience or significant leadership contribution within a department.
• Strong understanding of current educational research, assessment practices and evidence-informed pedagogy.
• Commitment to continuing professional development in both subject expertise and leadership.
