Head of Science Department (Sharjah Campus) Basic

The role

Sharjah American International School seeks a visionary and dynamic Head of Science Department for its Sharjah Campus. This full-time position begins in the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and oversee the Science faculty while driving curriculum development, tracking student progress, and ensuring high-quality instructional practices across all scientific disciplines.

Requirements

• Formal Teaching Diploma (for example PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent teaching licence)
• Valid IELTS Academic certificate (minimum Band 7.0 preferred)
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a school setting
• Deep familiarity with international school curricula
