The role
We are seeking a values-driven Headteacher to provide strategic and operational leadership across all ages. The successful candidate will foster a positive, high-performing school culture while contributing to the wider growth and development of the organisation. The position is full-time and permanent, with a salary of up to ยฃ85,000 per annum dependent on experience. Opportunities are available across various UK locations aligned with national growth plans.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership that fosters a positive, high-performing school culture
- Lead the ongoing development of the school, ensuring strong academic outcomes and a rich, inclusive pupil experience
- Champion excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across all ages and abilities
- Build, develop and motivate a cohesive staff team aligned to clear values and high expectations
- Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care
- Oversee effective school operations, including financial sustainability and resource management
- Engage confidently and professionally with parents, colleagues and the wider community
- Contribute to the wider growth and development of the organisation, including future opportunities and new provision
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience as a Headteacher or senior school leader
- A strong track record of delivering high-quality educational outcomes
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead, influence and manage change
- An inspirational and authentic leader with excellent communication skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships and lead high-performing teams
- Sound understanding of school operations, compliance and safeguarding requirements
- Resilient, adaptable and forward-thinking approach to leadership
- NPQH (completed or actively working towards)
- Experience or strong knowledge of ISI and/or Ofsted frameworks
Experience within the independent education sector, leadership experience during periods of growth or transformation, and commercial awareness are desirable.
