The role

A part-time Health Care Officer vacancy exists at Senior School Leidschenveen. The role is 20% (one day per week, seven hours on Friday) and forms part of the whole-school health and wellbeing team. At this campus the team comprises one other Health Care Officer and two School Counsellors who work with Key Stage Coordinators and Heads of Year to deliver health and pastoral support to more than 310 students aged 11 to 18.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first aid and holistic support to students
• Develop and maintain individual care plans
• Conduct medical risk assessments for school trips
• Liaise with multidisciplinary professionals while keeping the student at the centre of care

Requirements

• Current nursing qualification from a governing body that requires regular re-registration linked to professional development
• Recent experience working with children and providing first aid
• Right to work in the Netherlands
• Active contribution to the school’s commitment to a safe and healthy environment for pupils and staff
