The role

Sharjah American International School seeks a dedicated High School English Teacher for its Sharjah campus. This full-time position begins in the 2026–2027 academic year and focuses on developing secondary students’ literature, critical reading, and advanced writing skills while fostering a deep appreciation for the English language.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to high school students that build advanced literacy and analytical skills.
• Design curriculum and assessments aligned with international standards to support student progress.

Requirements

• Formal teaching diploma such as a PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent teaching licence.
• Valid IELTS Academic certificate with a high band score.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Literature or English Language.
• Native or near-native English proficiency and prior experience teaching high school English.
