The role

We are seeking an outstanding History Teacher to join the secondary team from August 2026. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to building positive relationships with students, adapting learning to meet the needs of all learners, bringing creativity and enjoyment to lessons, and applying strong, evidence-based teaching pedagogy.

Requirements

• Hold a BEd or a Bachelor’s degree with PGCE, PGDE or equivalent
• Have proven experience of teaching History to KS4 and KS5 or equivalent
• Demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching
• Show a willingness to collaborate and share outstanding practice
• Possess a growth mindset, being reflective and solution-focused
• Be creative and enthusiastic in approach to teaching
• Have excellent interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, students and parents
• Aspire to work in a world-class school with prospects for career development
• Be willing to contribute positively to school life through the extra-curricular programme and community events
