About the school

Apex2100 International Ski Academy trains over 120 young skiers from all over the world aged 12 to 20, combining sporting and academic excellence.

The role

We are seeking a Houseparent to support athletes on a day-to-day basis within the boarding house. The position is based in Tignes with on-site accommodation provided. This is a permanent contract commencing 1 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for athletes within the boarding house
• Build strong, trusting relationships with athletes, offering guidance, reassurance and care
• Organise social activities including games, sport, cooking and art
• Support young people who are injured or experiencing personal or emotional difficulties
• Ensure appropriate supervision of athletes in the evening, at night and during designated on-call periods
• Be available to athletes outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends, in accordance with the duty rota
• Immediately report any issues relating to safety or wellbeing to the Head of House and Wellbeing or the designated safeguarding lead
• Accompany young people on camps abroad

Requirements

• Experience in supporting teenagers in highly stressful situations
• Comfortable working with teenagers
• Organised, adaptable and calm in all circumstances
• Good communication skills
• French language skills advantageous but not essential
• Experience in a boarding school, academy or sports environment
