About the school

Santo António International School (SAIS) is a successful international school located on the beautiful Estoril coast, just outside Lisbon. The role

SAIS is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Humanities Teacher to join the school from August 2026. The successful candidate will teach Geography, History or Global Perspectives across Middle School (Years 7–9) and IGCSE. Applications are welcomed from specialists in any one of these subjects; experience across all three is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Teach across the Humanities with a focus on Middle School (Years 7–9) and IGCSE
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support every student’s progress
• Contribute to the wider life of a close-knit school community

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Geography, History, Global Perspectives or a related field
• Experience teaching at least one of these subjects at IGCSE or GCSE
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the humanities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
• The ability to work independently as well as within a team
• A genuine commitment to every student’s academic, social and emotional development
