The role

We are seeking a passionate IB MYP/DP French Language Acquisition teacher to join the Language Acquisition department. This full-time permanent position involves teaching high/secondary school students in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), commencing September 2026.

The successful applicant will teach French Language Acquisition at MYP and DP level with a high degree of proficiency. The ability to offer another subject such as MFL or TOK, or to support students in CAS or the Extended Essay, is an advantage. Experience teaching pupils whose first language is not English is also desirable. For a suitably qualified candidate there may be an opportunity to combine the role with a position of responsibility.

All teachers are expected to contribute fully to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral programmes, including a balanced allocation of activities, sport and supervision duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Language or a related field
• At least two years of teaching experience, preferably with IB curriculum exposure
• Strong knowledge of IB MYP and DP Language B French frameworks and assessment criteria
• Ability to design engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Excellent classroom management skills with a student-centred approach
• Proficient communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
• Competence in integrating technology into teaching practices
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful and supportive learning environment
• Passion for inspiring students’ curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
