The role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised ITE Programme Administrator to join our regional Initial Teacher Education team at the North and West Campus in Blackburn BB1 2HT. Working closely with the Regional ITE Programme Manager, you will coordinate and support the planning, delivery and administration of ITE programmes across the region. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week on campus including Thursdays, and requires candidates to live within commuting distance. Occasional travel and overnight stays for staff away days will be necessary.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the planning, delivery and administration of ITE programmes.
- Build positive relationships with trainees, mentors, schools and partners.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the National Institute of Teaching to ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor processes that support successful reporting.
- Coordinate key events or programmes as required.
Requirements
Essential criteria
- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching.
- An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders.
- Previous administrative experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office software packages, search engines and online databases.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Highly proficient in managing and monitoring processes for successful reporting.
- Sensitivity to the requirements of different audiences and the ability to adapt style appropriately.
- A track record of, or potential to, coordinate key events or programmes.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team.
- Previous experience in the education sector.
- Experience of using management information systems and online learning environments, particularly Microsoft Teams.
- Previous team coordination or PA experience.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. This post requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure, Children’s Barred List Check and Occupational Health Check.
