The role

Repton School Dubai seeks an inspirational and experienced Inclusion Teacher to join the team in August 2026. The successful candidate will support students with special educational needs in Key Stage 2, working collaboratively to ensure inclusive practice across the Junior School.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school staff to support the inclusion of students with special educational needs in mainstream classrooms.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Plan and deliver adapted core lessons that meet identified learning needs.
  • Provide guidance to teachers on implementing inclusive classroom practices.
  • Monitor the progress and data of students with SEN and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and external specialists to secure the best outcomes for students.
  • Remain current with best practice in inclusive education and participate in professional development.

Requirements

  • PGCE or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A recognised Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualification is mandatory.
  • Qualified teacher status with proven experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and the ability to differentiate instruction effectively.
  • Experience in developing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and English Language Plans (ELPs).
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and other tools that support student learning.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and remain flexible in challenging situations.
