About the school

British School Alzira/Xativa/Gandia is a family of British schools in the Valencia region of Spain offering a high quality British education to students of all nationalities. The three co-educational schools teach the British National Curriculum. British School Alzira is an independent school situated in a mountain location 40km south of Valencia. British School Xativa is set in extensive grounds beneath the historic castle of Xativa. British School Gandia, located in the coastal resort of Gandia, provides education from Pre-Nursery through to Year 11 and will start KS5 in the upcoming academic year.

Teachers work together across the three schools to provide a consistent learning experience. On-site facilities include libraries, tennis courts, swimming pools, ICT suites, science laboratories, art departments and generously proportioned classrooms.

The role

British School Alzira requires a Business Studies and Economía de la Empresa teacher for KS4-KS5 to start in September 2026. Applications from both experienced teachers and recently qualified teachers are welcome, as are applications from teaching couples.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a B.Ed., PGCE or equivalent
• Experience of teaching Business Studies and Economía de la Empresa
• Successful record of planning and delivering engaging learning activities
• Knowledge of the British Curriculum
• Enthusiasm and high expectations for all pupils
• English as a first language or professional level
• Two years of experience teaching within the British Curriculum is preferred
