Learning Support Assistant Basic

The role

The British School of Amsterdam is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in its Senior School. The successful candidate will support the learning of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities and/or additional learning needs across all Key Stages. The Learning Support Assistant team is line managed by the Head of Learning Support (Senior School). The role may also involve supporting the pastoral team as a Form Tutor.

Key responsibilities

• Support the learning of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities and/or additional learning needs across all Key Stages in the Senior School.
• Work under the direction of the Head of Learning Support (Senior School).
• Provide pastoral support as a Form Tutor where required.

Requirements

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Willingness to undergo all required pre-employment checks, including satisfactory references, proof of relevant qualifications, identification checks and background checks overseas where appropriate.
