About the school
St. George’s School has served the international community in Cologne for over 40 years. The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, with pupils studying for the IB Diploma or IB Careers Programme in the Sixth Form. The role
St. George’s School seeks a passionate and well-qualified Learning Support Teacher to join the flourishing Primary Department, starting in January 2027 or earlier if possible. The role provides high-quality teaching and targeted support for pupils across the Primary School, with a particular focus on SEND and EAL provision. It also involves working collaboratively in-class with class teachers to deliver inclusive teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and targeted support for pupils in the Primary School.
- Provide focused support for pupils with SEND and EAL needs.
- Collaborate with class teachers to ensure inclusive teaching practices.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teaching qualification, such as a B.Ed., M.Ed., Lehramt or PGCE.
- English language teaching certificates such as TEFL, IELTS or CELTA are not considered sufficient.
