The role
Garden City British School seeks a Maternity Cover Inclusion/Special Education Teacher (Female Only) to join the team from 21 September 2026 until 28 February 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring and stimulating child-centred learning environment. Teachers are expected to be highly motivated exemplary practitioners with a deep understanding of personalised learning and a commitment to ongoing school improvement.
Requirements
- An internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Education specialising in Special Education, or an internationally recognised Bachelor’s Degree in an English National Curriculum subject together with an internationally recognised teaching qualification in Special Education.
- Joint honours degrees that include theology, criminology or religious education will not be accepted.
- Two supporting references and a police clearance certificate or DBS no more than three months old must be provided.
- Candidates travelling without dependents will benefit most from the package offered.
Benefits & package
- Tax-free salary paid monthly: AED 4,000 for newly qualified teachers meeting the minimum qualification requirements with no post-qualification experience, rising to AED 5,000 for candidates with two or more years of English National Curriculum experience.
- Accommodation for single staff only: a furnished self-contained room with private bathroom in a school villa or apartment, with shared kitchen and lounge facilities. Staff accommodation includes internet access and transportation to school.
- Alternatively, an accommodation allowance of AED 15,000 per annum is available.
