About the school
Coruña British International School is a highly distinguished British international school and the first in the city to gain NABSS accreditation. The school’s curriculum has been fully approved by both the Galician Government and the British Council and is considered, alongside its sister school in Vigo, one of the foremost British schools in the Galicia region. Founded more than eight years ago, this progressive school with strong family values delivers the English National Curriculum to students aged three to fourteen, following the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.

The role
We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related numerate discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognised teaching qualification suitable for secondary education.
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level, ideally within a British or international school environment.
- Strong understanding of UK curriculum expectations for KS3–KS4 (and preferably KS5) Mathematics.
- Ability to deliver clear, structured, and engaging lessons that are accessible to learners of mixed abilities.
- Experience using assessment for learning, progress tracking, and data-informed teaching strategies.
- Confidence in teaching a range of mathematical strands, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to establish a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
