The role

Cumnor House Sussex seeks a reliable, professional and caring School Minibus Driver to transport pupils safely to and from school on morning and afternoon runs, Monday to Friday, term time only. The position is fixed term for one year, commencing September 2026, and equates to 20 hours per week with additional overtime opportunities for sports matches, day trips and community outreach activities.

Key responsibilities

• Transport pupils safely during morning and afternoon school runs
• Remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Help create a happy, safe and respectful atmosphere on the minibus

Requirements

• Full driving licence, preferably with Cat D1 entitlement, and an excellent driving record
• Minimum age of 21 years
• First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, flexible and good-humoured approach
