The role

Reach British School seeks a female PE Teacher to join the team in August 2026. The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that ensure progression, challenge and engagement for all students within the National Curriculum for England framework.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan lessons with clear objectives, tasks that challenge pupils and maintain high levels of interest and pace.
  • Set clear targets, identify SEN and EAL pupils, and use assessment to inform teaching and track progress.
  • Apply a variety of teaching methods, effective questioning and appropriate resources to develop students’ knowledge, skills and understanding.
  • Mark work, set homework and maintain high standards of presentation and display.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress systematically and prepare informative reports for parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, subject policy and whole-school initiatives.
  • Support the School Improvement Plan and maintain high standards of conduct, punctuality and safeguarding.
  • Attend directed time meetings, parents’ evenings and two extracurricular activities per week.
  • Perform playground and safety duties diligently and communicate regularly with parents on student progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ full-time teaching experience in the UK or a British Curriculum school.
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.
  • Experience using data systems for student tracking, intervention, target setting and reporting.
  • Strong commitment to outstanding teaching and learning and building effective partnerships with parents.
  • Willingness to collaborate on whole-school initiatives and the school improvement cycle.
