ABOUT THE ROLE
Al Basma British School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Physical Education to lead and develop our whole school PE provision from Year 1 to Year 13. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, forward-thinking school and shape the strategic direction of physical education, competitive sport, and whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
You will lead a dedicated PE team, oversee the curriculum across all key stages, and promote physical health and active lifestyles throughout the school community.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We welcome applications from passionate educators with leadership experience in PE across a wide range of age groups (KS1 to KS5), who demonstrate:
Visionary leadership in Physical Education and Sport
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum (PE)
Experience managing or contributing to school sports teams and inter-school competitions
A commitment to student health, wellbeing, and physical development
Confidence in leading and inspiring a team across the primary and secondary phases
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Candidates must hold:
A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related discipline
A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent)
Additional leadership qualifications or experience in whole school initiatives (e.g., Duke of Edinburgh, Sports Leader Award, Wellbeing programmes) are desirable.
