The role

ABC British Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic, and highly motivated PE Teacher to join the team from August 2026. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about promoting physical education, health, and wellbeing, and who can inspire students to develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across the school.
• Inspire students of all abilities to participate and achieve in sport and physical activity.
• Contribute to the development of a vibrant extracurricular sports programme.
• Support and coach school teams, competitions, fixtures, and sporting events.
• Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Previous experience teaching PE within a British Curriculum school is desirable.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
