The role
Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and inspiring Peripatetic LAMDA Teacher to join the growing Performing Arts team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to help establish and develop the school’s LAMDA provision within a founding school environment.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging one-to-one and small group lessons across a range of disciplines, including Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre, and Performance. The teacher will prepare students for LAMDA examinations, develop their confidence and communication skills, and create opportunities for performance. The role also includes supporting the coordination and administration of the LAMDA programme, working closely with the Performing Arts team to manage scheduling, examination entries, parent communication, and performance opportunities.
This is a zero-hours contract, with lessons scheduled according to student demand, school requirements, and the coordination of LAMDA examinations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality one-to-one and small group LAMDA lessons across a range of ages and abilities.
- Teach across relevant disciplines including Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre, and Performance.
- Prepare students effectively for LAMDA examinations and develop individual programmes of study.
- Provide clear feedback, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records of enrolment, attendance, and results.
- Coordinate examination entries, timetables, and administration in line with examination board requirements.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding lessons, examinations, fees, and performance opportunities.
- Support and contribute to Performing Arts showcases, productions, assemblies, and enrichment activities.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Collaborate with the Performing Arts team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Ensure all activities comply with KHDA standards, MOE guidelines, examination board requirements, and school policies.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.
Requirements
- Relevant degree, diploma, or professional qualification in Drama, Performing Arts, Speech and Drama, Theatre, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching LAMDA examinations across a range of grades and disciplines.
- Strong understanding of LAMDA syllabi, assessment criteria, examination requirements, and administration processes.
- Experience teaching Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre, or related performance disciplines.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with children and young people in an educational or performing arts environment.
- Passionate about drama and performance, inspiring, enthusiastic, and able to bring out the best in students.
- Highly organised, reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
