Muna British Academy is part of Aldar Education and is located in Abu Dhabi. Established in 2009, the school has maintained an Outstanding ADEK rating since 2015. In August 2025 the academy relocated to a state-of-the-art campus in the Saadiyat Lagoons community. The school currently serves students from FS1 to Year 8 and plans to extend provision to Year 13. The role

Aldar Education seeks an outstanding Physical Education Teacher to join Muna British Academy for the 2026–2027 academic year. The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day running of the PE department, including administration tasks, displays and lesson support. The role also involves monitoring and maintaining PE equipment and storage, supporting staff in the creation of lesson resources, and contributing to the school’s extensive squad provision. Candidates should demonstrate alignment with the school’s core values and an appreciation of the values and culture of the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the school in achieving its vision and strategic intentions and contribute to targets in the school improvement plan.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, school policies and the staff dress code, including wearing photo ID.
  • Engage in required training on child protection, safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Maintain PE equipment and stock to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
  • Prepare resources and equipment for lessons under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Support teaching and learning within the PE department and perform basic administration duties.
  • Communicate with external agencies regarding fixtures and sports events and maintain the PE department booking sheet.
  • Contribute to school squad provision and maintain the learning environment in PE.
  • Attend staff briefings and fulfil other duties reasonably determined by PE leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject together with PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum one to two years of teaching experience.
  • Previous experience working with students for whom Arabic is not their first language.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • High level of professionalism and consideration for child well-being.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of the school community irrespective of position, gender, age or background.
  • Positive and solution-focused attitude.
  • Clear enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or equivalent police check.
