The role
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Nursery Monitor for a temporary, full-time position at the BSB Sitges campus, starting in September 2026 and running until mid-June 2027. The role is central to maintaining students’ safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour throughout the school day, working closely with the Early Years team.
Key responsibilities
- Understand, promote and fully implement safeguarding policies and procedures, including intimate care, nappy changing, toileting and safe sleeping practices.
- Follow procedures for reporting incidents, accidents and managing behaviour positively in line with each child’s stage of development.
- Support the EYFS team in maintaining a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, play and develop through sensory and motor activities.
- Comply with assigned timetables, staff-child ratios and routines for the Pre-Nursery group.
- Support children’s rest and nap times while ensuring safe sleeping practices are followed at all times.
- Monitor children during snack and lunch times, ensuring hand washing, modelling personal hygiene, supporting feeding and weaning where needed, and encouraging healthy eating habits.
- Remain aware of dietary needs and medical conditions, and observe children to inform parents of any anomalies or progress.
- Ensure areas used by children are left tidy and clean.
- Provide flexible support to other school activities as required, including playground supervision and dining hall assistance, while maintaining consistent standards of care and safeguarding.
