About the school

Richmond Park School is an exciting new project located in a highly attractive residential area well connected to the centre of Madrid. The school opened with Early Years and Primary in September 2019 and is led by two highly experienced Executive Directors of Primary and Secondary, supported by a strong private company with extensive experience of British education in Spain.

As planned, the school is growing substantially. Early Years through to Year 6 are already at full capacity with three classes per year group. The school also has a Secondary section up to Year 12. Richmond Park School focuses on the academic and holistic development of each pupil. Its broad English curriculum, further extended through co-curricular projects and experiences, empowers pupils to fulfil their potential through acquiring high-level knowledge, deep understanding and extensive skills.

Pupils become creative, independent and reflective thinkers and effective communicators. Core moral and ethical values such as respect, kindness and integrity underpin the educational process. The school provides a tranquil yet stimulating learning environment in which teachers guide and facilitate learning while pupils often take the lead in thinking, exploring, problem-solving and creating.

The role

Richmond Park School seeks a Primary Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave position. The successful candidate will teach the English National Curriculum within a dynamic and supportive British-style international school setting.

Requirements

• Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification for Primary teaching
• Speak and write fluent English comparable to a first language communicator
• Evidence of recent, successful teaching experience of the English National Curriculum
• Strong interest and ability in IT and its opportunities for learning
• Ability to monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to ensure high standards
• An understanding of Assessment for Learning (AfL)
