With students from ages 3-18, DIS is run as a not-for-profit school and is part of the Al Futtaim Education Foundation. Although non-selective at admission, students achieve exceptional exam results which compare to top UK schools. Students take IGCSE examinations in Year 11 and move into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme in Years 12 and 13.

The role

Deira International School seeks to appoint an exceptional Primary Cover Teacher to join the Outstanding Primary school in August 2026. As an Outstanding School, it is a very exciting time to join the Primary Team at DIS. The school is high-performing and inclusive, committed to the holistic development of each and every learner. The successful candidate will be a strong practitioner who understands the importance of continual development and will ensure the school achieves its goal of providing a provision which goes beyond outstanding.

Requirements

• Family or Spousal VISA
• A B.Ed. or a degree in a related subject, plus a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent, with exceptional subject knowledge
• A track record of outstanding teaching and student outcomes
• A belief that all students have the potential for top performance, and the passion and drive to help them achieve it
• The ability to contribute to the wider curriculum and enrichment programmes of the school
