The role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-Time RAD Ballet Teacher to deliver high-quality ballet lessons across our Cognita schools in Dubai for students from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2. This exciting opportunity is suited to a passionate dance educator who can inspire young learners through engaging and structured lessons, developing strong technical foundations, confidence, musicality, and a lifelong love of dance. The successful candidate will prepare students for RAD examinations where appropriate and contribute to the wider Performing Arts provision within the Enrich ME programme.

Kindly note that this is a part-time role, and as such, visa sponsorship and medical insurance are not provided.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging RAD Ballet lessons for students from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2.
• Develop students' technique, confidence, musicality, coordination, flexibility, and stage presence through progressive and age-appropriate instruction.
• Prepare students for RAD examinations where appropriate, ensuring lessons align with syllabus requirements.
• Support dance performances, showcases, and school events across Cognita schools.
• Create a positive, inclusive and inspiring learning environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
• Collaborate with Performing Arts colleagues and school staff as required.
• Ensure safety standards are followed, undertaking risk assessments where necessary.
• Maintain records of attendance, performance, and progress, providing quality feedback to parents and key stakeholders where appropriate.

Requirements

• Recognised dance teaching qualification.
• Excellent ballet teaching skills.
• Experience preparing students for RAD examinations.
• Ability to motivate, encourage, and engage students.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and progressive ballet lessons.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• RAD Registered Teacher Status (RTS).
• RAD Teaching Qualification.
• Experience teaching within an enrichment, academy, or extracurricular programme.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Full driving licence.
