The role

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and ambitious Second in Mathematics to join our successful and forward-thinking Mathematics Department. This permanent, full-time post begins on 1 September 2026 and is paid on the MPS/UPS scale plus TLR 2B (£5,869).

Working closely with the Head of Mathematics, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the strategic development of the department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning, and securing excellent outcomes for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day leadership of the Mathematics department
• Monitor student progress and contribute to curriculum development
• Develop teaching and learning across the faculty
• Contribute to the continued success and improvement of the department
