The role

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Secondary Assistant Head Teacher to join our team as an Assistant Head of Department. This role involves supporting the Head of Department in managing curriculum delivery, staff development, and student progress within the secondary school stage.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Department in overseeing curriculum delivery across the secondary phase
• Lead staff development through mentoring, coaching and professional development initiatives
• Monitor and analyse student performance data to drive progress and improvement

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of an Associate Degree
• At least four years of teaching experience in a secondary or high school setting
• Familiarity with United Kingdom curriculum standards and assessment methods
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Competence in data analysis for monitoring student performance
• Commitment to promoting inclusive education that respects diversity
