About the school

Dubai Heights Academy is a warm and welcoming school located in the Al Barsha South area of Dubai. The school opened in 2017 and offers an inclusive education to an international community of students from FS1 to Year 9, with plans to grow organically to Year 13.

The state-of-the-art campus features separate buildings for each phase, a 380-seat auditorium, three temperature-controlled swimming pools, fully equipped science and computer labs, specialist rooms for art, DT, music and drama, a library, two multipurpose sports halls, a full-size football pitch, outdoor play areas and a spacious canteen. A new secondary building opened in August 2025.

The school follows the National Curriculum for England, supplemented with Arabic, Islamic Studies, Moral Education and Social Studies. It has partnered with MIT to deliver a bespoke AI project-based programme for secondary students and an early language programme using social robots for primary students.

The role

Dubai Heights Academy seeks a dynamic and talented Secondary English Teacher with excellent subject knowledge to contribute to continued improvements in student progress and attainment. The successful candidate will be well qualified, self-motivated, adaptable and imaginative.

The position commences in August 2026 following a short induction programme.

Requirements

• B.Ed. or degree and PGCE/PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge
• At least three years experience of the National Curriculum for England
• Experience of teaching English from KS3 to KS5
• Ability to teach another subject is desirable
