The role

Kings’ School Al Barsha is seeking an exceptional Secondary English Teacher to join the high-performing department from August 2026. The successful candidate will guide students through GCSE and A Level examinations, support personal development and ignite a passion for English while contributing to the school’s commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consistently inspirational lessons with a track record of outstanding results at GCSE and A Level.
• Support the personal development and well-being of all students in their care.
• Contribute to the extra-curricular programme and the high profile of the department.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and maintain strong communication with the school community.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree relevant to the teaching subject or equivalent.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English, with experience of teaching GCSE and A Level.
• A minimum of three years’ experience; newly qualified teachers aspiring to excellence will also be considered.
• Evidence of commitment to recent professional development and innovative use of ICT in the classroom.
• Highly collaborative nature, strong communication skills and a commitment to pastoral care.
• Innovative, creative and positive mindset.
