The role
Arcadia Global School, Dubai is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Secondary History Teacher who can join from August 2026. The successful candidate will work alongside other experienced team members to promote the strategic vision of the school and will be capable of teaching across all secondary Key Stages up to A Level.
Key responsibilities
- Teach using a variety of delivery methods which stimulate learning, meet the demands of the curriculum and, through scaffolding and clear objectives, ensure that the needs of all students are met.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s policies and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of work.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the subject’s strategic action plan.
- Ensure effective monitoring and communication with parents regarding academic progress, both in line with school reporting procedures and in response to specific concerns as they arise.
- Comply with the current policies and procedures of the school.
- Prepare and update subject materials, including schemes of work.
Requirements
- Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience working within a high-quality department.
- Ability to teach up to GCSE/IGCSE with a proven track record in performance outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in delivering and contributing to the curriculum.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Outstanding practitioner with the ability to deliver innovative lessons built on current pedagogical thinking and forward-thinking initiatives.
- Professional who works collaboratively both within the immediate team and across the wider school community.
