The role
Al Rabeeh Academy seeks an experienced and passionate ICT/AI Specialist Teacher to join the team from August 2026. The successful candidate will lead high-quality teaching, learning and innovation across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level ICT/Computer Science where applicable. The role involves inspiring students and staff through engaging, practical and future-focused digital learning experiences that promote excellence in ICT, artificial intelligence, digital literacy, computational thinking and problem-solving.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with British curriculum standards up to at least GCSE level, with A-Level teaching desirable.
- Promote the understanding and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education.
- Model strong digital literacy, computational thinking and problem-solving skills through creative, practical and technology-rich approaches.
- Integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and future-ready skills.
- Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development and the creation of high-quality teaching resources, including AI-focused initiatives.
- Lead and support whole-school digital transformation by promoting innovative uses of technology and AI across the curriculum.
- Support the academic and pastoral well-being of students while promoting the school’s values, routines and high expectations.
- Build strong relationships with parents through clear communication on student progress and digital development.
- Participate actively in school events, enrichment opportunities, professional development and whole-school activities.
Requirements
- Fluent English speaker.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
