The role

This is a permanent, full-time Secondary Lengua Teacher position based at the Manuel Marañón (Arturo Soria) Campus. The successful candidate will join the team from 31 August 2026.

The post holder will deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire enthusiasm for languages across a wide range of abilities. Lessons will be planned and taught to a high standard, using varied approaches that meet curriculum requirements and individual student needs. High expectations will be set while providing appropriate support and challenge. Data will be used to monitor progress and inform teaching. The teacher will assess and report on student performance, maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold behaviour standards. Contribution to the wider school community through tutoring, extracurricular activities and events is expected, together with an active role in safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet curriculum requirements and address individual student needs.
  • Use varied teaching approaches and maintain high expectations while supporting and challenging all learners.
  • Monitor student progress through data and adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Assess, record and report on student performance.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment and uphold school behaviour standards.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through tutoring, extracurricular activities and events.
  • Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.

Requirements

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
  • Ability to deliver engaging lessons that raise academic achievement for all students.
  • Excellent organisational skills, initiative and capacity to work collaboratively.
  • Adaptability, reflectiveness and commitment to professional development.
  • Clear commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
