Secondary Maths Teacher with Computer Science Basic

The role

St. George School Barcelona seeks a Secondary Maths Teacher with Computer Science to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons from Key Stage 3 through to Sixth Form. The successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth subject knowledge and a passion for promoting inquisitive, reflective and independent learning while maintaining the high standards already established in the department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative lessons that apply subject knowledge through a wide range of engaging and practical activities.
• Teach the exam syllabus for the subject at both GCSE and IB level or equivalent.
• Support all students in reaching their individual goals and promote high standards of achievement.
• Play a leading role in the continuing development of the subject and the implementation of new learning initiatives across the school.
• Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct.
• Build positive and respectful relationships across the school community.
• Serve in the best interests of the school’s students.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching the exam syllabus for Maths and Computer Science at GCSE and IB level or equivalent.
• Strong team player with a practical and flexible approach to problem solving.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Willingness to undergo appropriate vetting procedures, including an online search, references and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks covering the previous ten years of employment history.
