The role
Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking experienced and passionate Secondary Science Teachers for an immediate start. The successful candidates will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A-Level Science in Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. Teachers will inspire students through engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop strong analytical and investigative skills within a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with British curriculum standards, teaching Science up to at least GCSE level.
- Model strong scientific inquiry, analytical, and problem-solving skills through creative and effective teaching approaches.
- Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, track, and support student progress.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and the creation of high-quality teaching and laboratory resources.
- Support the academic and pastoral well-being of students, promoting the school’s values, routines, and high expectations.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents through clear communication regarding student progress and attainment.
- Participate actively in school events, professional development, and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements
- Fluent English speaker.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE / QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
