The role

The British International School of Marbella seeks an exceptional, well-qualified and experienced teacher of chemistry to join on a temporary paternity cover basis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a rigorous and creative approach to teaching and have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the science department.

Requirements

• Recent UK or international experience of teaching Chemistry up to IGCSE, as well as KS 3 science.
• Honours Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven track record of raising standards of attainment in science.
• Commitment to curriculum innovation.
• Outstanding classroom practice with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
• Enthusiastic and positive approach to supporting pupils.
• Reflective practitioner who continually strives to improve performance.
• Consistent application of school policies.
• Keen interest in the personal development of pupils.
• Experience of being an effective form tutor or equivalent.
• Willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
