The role
Mayfair International Academy is seeking a passionate and reflective Secondary Teacher of Mathematics to join its team in Estepona, on Spainβs Costa del Sol. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective delivery of Mathematics across the Secondary phase, following the established curriculum and the Cambridge Mathematics programme through to IGCSE (0580). The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons that develop mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills, while ensuring students are appropriately supported, challenged and prepared for external examinations.
Key responsibilities

- Contribute fully to the wider life of the school through professional development, school events and enrichment opportunities.
- Lead one after-school enrichment club each week.
Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Appropriate academic qualifications and/or demonstrable subject expertise in Mathematics.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire confidence and curiosity in Mathematics.
- Ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly and accurately.
- High expectations for learning and behaviour.
- Capacity to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Effective use of assessment to identify misconceptions and support progress.
- Previous experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics is advantageous but not essential.
