The role

These teaching roles involve working with young people who have special educational needs and are unable to access mainstream education. Many students have gaps in their education, and the school implements creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all young people to access learning and make expected progress.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the teaching of core and some foundation subjects for a class.
• Develop and support the needs of the whole child.
• Implement creative teaching strategies to enable all young people to access learning and make expected progress.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience of teaching Upper KS2 to KS4.
• A track record as a consistently good or outstanding practitioner.
• Resilience, dynamism and the ability to inspire young people.
• Tenacity and commitment to enabling all young people to achieve their potential.
• Ability to speak fluent English, as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
